Today hubby and I decided to venture out into the real world, just like we used to do, pre-COVID. We donned our masks and headed out to the thrift store. Hubby found a book and I found nothing. That's very unusual, I'm usually the one to find a treasure or two.
Today was opening day for the Farmer's Market so that was our next stop. It has moved to a new place and there has been a lot of very unhappy people. We found the new venue to be large, bright, clean and airy and the parking is better. However, it's the same vendors and the same products and all have a high price tag. It is fun to walk around but we didn't purchase anything.
There was a craft fair not too far from the Market so we checked that out. I made one purchase there and then we went to the Food Co-Op. We needed wheat germ and that is the only place we've found it locally and while we were they we bought a loaf of homemade bread, a small bag of chocolate almond "energy chunks" and a bar of homemade soap.
By that time it was after noon and time for lunch. Home and sandwiches for lunch. Then I fired up the laptop to catch up on reading blogs. I posted a couple of times this week but I hadn't read any blogs. The first blog I read was Teresa Kasner's. I was so shocked and saddened to read her husband's message telling her followers that she had passed away after a very short illness. I have followed Teresa for many years. She led an interesting life and I always enjoyed her posts. I will certainly miss reading about her adventures, her flowers and her collections. Her last post was just a week ago.
We never know what life holds for us, do we?
If you feel so inclined, please keep Teresa's family in your prayers...
Stay safe and well and
Thanks for dropping by...
